Irma is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who has been actively working in the mental health field for the past 20 years. Irma has completed specialized advanced training in the latest evidence-based practices through The National Center for Traumatic Stress Network. Her primary focus of practice has been in working with children and families who have been victims of sexual, physical and emotional abuse, and who have been exposed to traumatic events, including domestic violence. Over the years Irma has also trained and supervised numerous licensed professionals. Irma is co-founder and COO of a non-profit organization whose focus is primarily centered around the effects of trauma on children and their families.
